Dorcas Ministries is pleased to administer the Play It Forward fee assistance to residents of the Town of Cary for Town of Cary Parks and Recreation Department programs. Caring, compassionate staff will screen all applicants to determine financial need and fee assistance awards.
Please submit your application and required documents Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm to Dorcas Crisis Center, 189 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27511 (in the suite to the right of the Dorcas Thrift Shop).

Peter’s family lives on a tight budget. His dad is in divinity school and his mother stays home to care for his two younger siblings. He never had an opportunity to go to summer camp, like the other kids in his neighborhood. When his mom heard about the Town of Cary Parks Scholarship through a friend at church, she realized that summer camp might be a possibility for her active young boy. For Peter, summer camp would mean a week out of the house in the summer, time to learn new things, meet new friends and have a break from his toddler siblings. Peter’s mom filled out the application, and the scholarship was able to pay for a week of camp for young Peter on the basis of the family’s income. It was the highlight of his summer!
