Dorcas Ministries is thrilled to announce that the proceeds from the Manning Memorial Fund will be donated to two esteemed local organizations, White Oak Foundation, and Cary First Christian Church, in support of their dedicated projects aimed at fostering affordable housing. This decision was made in partnership with, and at the request of, the Manning family, in honor of the lasting legacy of the late Howard Manning, longtime Executive Director of Dorcas Ministries and a passionate advocate for affordable housing.
The Manning Memorial Fund, established to commemorate the incredible life and work of Howard Manning, raised a total of $32,615 through the generous contributions of many in our community. Understanding the critical need for affordable housing solutions in our community, we are proud to split the Fund between White Oak Foundation and Cary First Christian Church.
White Oak Foundation has consistently demonstrated its unwavering commitment to creating safe, affordable housing opportunities for those in need. Through their ongoing projects, they will positively impact countless individuals and families, providing them with the stability and dignity that a secure home affords. The donation from the Manning Memorial Fund will enhance their efforts, enabling them to expand their reach and make an even greater difference in the lives of those facing housing challenges.
Cary First Christian Church, a compassionate and dedicated pillar in our community, has embarked on a visionary project to address the pressing issue of affordable housing. With the contribution from the Manning Memorial Fund, they will be empowered to advance their project, providing safe and sustainable housing solutions for vulnerable populations. This funding will allow them to further their mission and uplift individuals and families who are striving for a better future.
