There are several ways to donate to Dorcas Ministries and to help us make a difference. We are grateful for each gift you give us, from your time and treasures to your financial gifts.
Dorcas Ministries relies upon financial gifts to help us make a difference in the lives of struggling people in our community. Since 1968 we have assisted tens of thousands of our neighbors with food, financial assistance and training. Your financial gift can help us continue to be there for the people who need us.

There are some things you can do today to ensure that there will be provision for our vulnerable neighbors far into the future.
Designate an unrestricted gift in your will for Christian Community in Action dba Dorcas Ministries. This could be a percentage or a specific amount.
Give a gift of a portion of an insurance policy.
Name Christian Community in Action dba Dorcas Ministries as the beneficiary of your 401(k), 403(b), IRA, or another retirement plan.
Donate appreciated stock, mutual funds, bonds, or other appreciated assets.
Establish a charitable gift annuity with us.
To leave a gift in your will, simply share this sentence with your attorney or financial planner:
“I bequeath $_____ or ______% of my estate to Christian Community in Action dba Dorcas Ministries.

As we anticipate an increase in families seeking food assistance in the coming weeks, please help us keep our pantry stocked, with basic food staples and cleaning supplies.

Our Amazon Wish List has been updated! We know supplies are limited on Amazon right now and hope this tool can serve as a guide.
Another great option for donating food is using an online grocery delivery service, like InstaCart or your local grocery store’s delivery services.
Would your group or organization like to be a part of our Adopt-A-Shelf program? You can help keep our shelves stocked by sponsoring a shelf in whole or in part.

Donations will be accepted:
Monday – Saturday: 12 PM – 5 PM
We ask that you do not leave your donations outside after hours for security purposes. You will not be eligible for a tax receipt.
We are currently not accepting furniture pick up requests. You are welcome to fill out the form, but your request will not be processed until a later date. Thank you for your interest in donating to us at Dorcas and for your patience!
Dorcas Ministries does home pick-ups of furniture on Thursdays from 10:30 AM – 2 PM.
We can only pick up items that are located on the first floor or apartments with elevator access. Please check our “Items We Don’t Accept” list. We do not accept these items and cannot pick them up.
To request a pick-up, please fill out the Furniture Pick-Up Request form. One of our staff members will be in touch with you as soon as possible. Please give us 3 business days for processing. You can call 919.469.9861, ext. 108 with questions.
Once you have completed the form, please send pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org, if you are able. Please include your name when you send the pictures.
