We were notified this morning that a Middle of the House Ambassador (staff) has tested positive for COVID-19. This person was last on site on Wednesday.
In order to take the utmost precaution and to cautiously review the situation, Dorcas Ministries will be CLOSED through Wednesday, November 11th. We will send follow up communication about when we plan to reopen.
Volunteers will not be allowed in the building during this time. We will begin contact tracing as soon as we have more information. If you are contacted by Dorcas staff, please answer all questions to assist in this effort and help control the virus in our community. While we are unable to provide additional information, we will share: there have not been any additional reporting of symptoms from any of our other staff or volunteers.
This will not impact our programs offered by the Client Services office. Financial assistance will continue to be offered through current procedures. Individuals in need of assistance should contact Client Services at email@example.com or 919.469.9861, ext. 203. Our Food Pantry will be closed.
As part of our COVID response plan, safety measures like mask wearing, social distancing, frequent hand washing, and sanitizing of high-touch surfaces areas were in place and enforced for staff, volunteers, and customers. We believe that due to these measures, the exposure risk is very low.
We are sharing in an effort to be transparent with all of the loyal volunteers, customers, and donors who have continued to support Dorcas Ministries during this important time.
